Quarterly Members Meeting, June 19th 2009

D.C. LEARNs' next quarterly membership meeting will take place on June 19, from 9:30 am to noon, at the UPO/Shaw Community Service Center, 1718 7th Street, NW.

The UPO/Shaw Community Service Center is a block or so from the Shaw-Howard U metro station on the green and yellow lines.

Agenda will include:

• A Literacy*AmeriCorps Update;

• Presentation of our recommendation for D.C. LEARNs Hotline/Outreach/Program Database project for 2009-10 (following up from last meeting);

• Presentation of our recommendation on policy priorities for remainder of the year (including children and youth literacy issues) and discussion of the involvement of coalition members in the policy work;

• Report and feedback on the Adult Education Professional Development Center's activities in 2008-09, and work on planning for next year.

Here are the directions from the station to the UPO center: Exit the Shaw-Howard University station using the 7th and R Streets NW exit. Walk about a block north on 7th Street to 1718 7th Street
