Hearing on Fiscal Year 2009 and 2010 Budget Gap Closing Strategies

A public oversight hearing by the D.C. Council Committee of the Whole on the Fiscal Year 2009 and Fiscal Year 2010 budget gap-closing strategies is scheduled for today, Friday, July 24, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., in the Council Chamber, Room 500 of the John A. Wilson Building. As members of D.C. LEARNs already know, the cost-cutting strategies proposed thus far may have a significant adverse impact on literacy programs and on the people served by those programs.
